The SIRMU production program includes :
•  vertical lathes
•  drilling machines for deep holes
The machine models are divided into three main categories: models VTL, VTM and VTMP equipped with movable crossrail suitable for wide variations in the types of part to be workpiece in this way providing maximum stiffness . The models VTLF and VTF are equipped with fixed crossrail making them more suitable for components where the variations in the workpiece height are small. The fixed crossrail configuration provides the maximun possible rigidity.

The machines are composed by a steel base which houses the spindle, a steel monobloc column, steel crossrail and cast iron vertical carriage where is sliding a square section hardened steel Ram.

To make the best use of the constant speed of the spindle motor, the new SIRMU machines up to the VTM series are equipped with a new epycicloidal two-ratio gearbox able to transmit power up to 150 kw while for the VTMP series are equipped with a four-ratio gearbox able to transmit up to 170 kw.

For each type of machine, SIRMU can offer a large range of options such as different types of spindle dependent on whether high speeds or high loads are required, spindle positioning or "C" axis, a milling Ram with 22÷37 Kw drive, milling heads which can be vertical, set at 90 degrees or manual or CNC swivelling , tool magazines for 12 up to 100 toolholders, pallet-changer ect. Our production range covers Vertical Lathes and turning centres individually designed according to the customer's needs.

The drilling machines for deep holes suitable to drill with BTA or GUNDRILL system with drilling heads with 2 , 3 and 5 spindles assembled on one slide or on independent slides . The machine are equipped with tool device ( tool monitor) that surveys collisions , breakage or cutting of tools . They can be also equipped with a power monitoring system with the possibility of setting adjustable intervention thresholds.
